BIM&Digital Award 2021: Politecnica wins two first prizes

Confirming its strong digital vocation, this year Politecnica is once again among the award-winning companies at the “BIM &Digital Award 2021” with two first places.

The EU Corporate Joint Research Centre Restaurant project in Ispra and the new Milan Linate Control Tower project won respectively in the categories ‘Public Buildings’ and ‘Infrastructure’.

Two important works, signed by Politecnica, where the BIM process was an essential tool for identifying and managing all the design disciplines in a fully integrated approach, developing advanced technical solutions and always provinding cost control and a high sustainability impacts.

The competition, organised by Clust-er Build and now in its 5th edition, aims to take stock of innovation and digital transformation of the built environment, rewarding initiatives that have promoted new tools and innovative procedures in the building sector, in order to improve performance and make the process of design, construction, management and maintenance more effective.

During the last edition, Politecnica won first prize in the “Infrastructure” category with the important project for the Zealand University Hospital in Køge, Denmark, and second and third place respectively in the “Restoration and enhancement of heritage” category, with the project for the former STA.VE.CO barracks in Bologna, and in the “Digital and Covid” category with the projects for the Intensive Care Hubs donated to the Modena and Baggiovara Hospitals.
