The former Fiat factory in Modena now opens as Fiatlux and the huge red FIAT logo re-appears on the façade.
The new building, designed by Politecnica , is a large showroom of art collections, books and design objects, all collected by Giorgio de Mitri , an international communication guru, but also a meeting place for artists from all over the world.
The former factory, owned by the historic Stanguellini family from Modena, has two levels: on the ground floor there are exhibition spaces with collections of paintings, books, tapestries, design objects, but also the kitchen and dining room, with a large round table in the middle; on the first floor there are bedrooms with furniture designed by famous names of international design and architecture.
Fiatlux is a place designed for society, a place for conversation, listening to music and eating. A space designed around the themes of cooperation, conviviality and sharing. This is not just an art gallery, but a space where through tools it is possible to understand the world around us.
