The quality of the food is a fundamental characteristic, but not sufficient to make the company restaurant a place of conviviality central to the experience of the working environment.
The project for the new Company Restaurant of the Joint Research Centre in Ispra represents an extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate how a simple canteen can be transformed into a real strategic intervention.
The new building will be able to serve over 1.500 meals a day and, thanks to targeted architectural and environmental criteria, will provide new ways of using the service based on the interaction and aggregation of the community throughout the JRC.
The new restaurant, thanks to a design aimed at ensuring and implementing the ecological value of the entire site, will become a central place for the entire Campus, minimizing the footprint of the built and protecting the characteristics of biodiversity, in line with the guidelines of the BREEM protocol and in compliance with the CAM (Italian environmental standards).
