5 August 2022

Policlinico Umberto I is one of the most important hospitals in the Capital and one of the largest university campus in Europe. The structure extends over 300,000 mq and is divided in 54 buildings.

Now that the first phase of the plan for the reorganisation and renovation of the hospital complex has recently been approved, the goal of the project team (Tecnicaer, Politecnica, GMN Engineering s.r.l., MDM Archaeology, and Dr Claudia Carbonini) is to complete the executive project before the end of the year.

The first works will include the demolition of some buildings and the redevelopment of five pavilions of the complex.
