The Project

The new nursery school with six classrooms, built around a semi-prefabricated wooden structure with recyclable materials, has space for 86 children aged between 6 months and 4 years.

The design is based on the most up-to-date standards applying to buildings intended for young children. It has been built on a single floor, spaces are multi-functional and can be separated easily through the use of sliding partitions. The spacious common entrance is designed to be welcoming, promoting interactions and play while teaching is carried out in the individual classrooms, each fitted out in accordance with the age of the children and the activities to be conducted there.

The building has Class A CasaClima (KlimaHaus®) certification and the design takes account of energy requirements for annual heating. The energy efficiency of the building frame amounts to 29.63 kWh/(m2a). Its energy performance derives from the construction continuity of the building frame – walls, flooring, roof – its excellent environmental positioning, the installation of heat recovery ventilation systems and controlled air exchange.

Internal finishing has been effected with the use of ecological materials to guarantee the greatest possible well-being of the children.
